2. Formal Translation And the wife of Gilead bore him sons, and when the sons of the woman grew up, they drove out Jephthah and said to him, “You will not inherit in the house of our father, because you are the son of another woman.” |
2. Dynamic Translation Gilead’s wife also bore him sons, and when his wife’s sons were grown, they drove Jephthah away and said to him, “You will have no inheritance in our father’s household because you are the son of a different woman.” |
