Judges 11:35:1וַיְהִי֩vayehiand it happened
Judges 11:35:2כִרְאוֹת֨וֹkhirotowhen he saw Judges 11:35:3אוֹתָ֜הּotaher Judges 11:35:4וַיִּקְרַ֣עvayikraand he tore Judges 11:35:5אֶת־בְּגָדָ֗יוetbegadavhis garments Judges 11:35:6וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vayomerand he said Judges 11:35:7אֲהָ֤הּahaalas Judges 11:35:8בִּתִּי֙bittimy daughter Judges 11:35:9הַכְרֵ֣עַhakreabringing low Judges 11:35:10הִכְרַעְתִּ֔נִיhikraettiniyou have brought me low Judges 11:35:11וְאַ֖תְּveatand you Judges 11:35:12הָיִ֣יתְhayityou have become Judges 11:35:13בְּעֹֽכְרָ֑יbeokheraiamong those troubling me Judges 11:35:14וְאָנֹכִ֗יveanokhiand I Judges 11:35:15פָּצִ֤יתִי־פִי֙patsitifiI have opened my mouth Judges 11:35:16אֶל־יְהוָ֔הelyahwehto the LORD Judges 11:35:17וְלֹ֥אveloand not Judges 11:35:18אוּכַ֖לukhalI am able Judges 11:35:19לָשֽׁוּב׃lashuvto turn back
35. Formal Translation
And it happened when he saw her that he tore his clothes and said, “Ah! my daughter, you have brought me low, and you have become one of my adversaries. For I have opened my mouth to the LORD, and I cannot turn back.”
35. Dynamic Translation
When he saw her, he tore his clothes in anguish and cried, “Oh no, my daughter! You have crushed me, and now you are among those who trouble me. I have made a vow to the LORD, and I cannot take it back.”
