The paired infinitive absolute ki-asor {כִּי־אָסֹר | kî-ʾāsôr} ‘binding’ and vehamet {וְהָמֵת | wə-hāmēt} ‘dying’ frame the negation lo nemitecha {לֹא נְמִיתֶךָ | lōʾ nəmîṯėḵā} ‘we will not kill you’ with emphatic force.
