| 14. Formal Translation When he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him. Then the Spirit of the LORD {Yahweh, Empowering Deliverer} rushed mightily upon him, and the ropes on his arms became like flax burned by fire, and his bonds melted away from his hands. |
| 14. Dynamic Translation As he reached Lehi, the Philistines ran at him with shouting. At once the Spirit of the LORD {Yahweh, Overcoming Strength} came upon him with power, and the ropes on his arms broke like flax scorched in fire, and the bindings dropped from his hands. |
