The verbs vayishte {וַיֵּ֔שְׁתְּ | wayyištê} ‘and he drank’ and vattashav {וַתָּ֥שָׁב | wəṭṭāšāḇ} ‘and it returned’ shift focus to Samson’s ruach {רוּחוֹ | rūḥô} ‘spirit,’ culminating in vayechi {וַיֶּ֑חִי | wayyēḥî} ‘and he lived.’

And God split open the hollow place at Lehi, and water issued from it. He drank, his spirit returned, and he revived. Therefore he named it Spring of the Caller, which remains in Lehi to this day.
