| 12. Formal Translation So Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them. Then she said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” Meanwhile, the ambush lay hidden in the room. But he tore them from his arms like a thread. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation So Delilah took fresh ropes and tied Samson up with them. She called out, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” The trap was set in the room, but he snapped the ropes off his arms as easily as if they were a thread. |
