| 18. Formal Translation And he said to him, “We are passing through from Bethlehem in Judah to the remotest parts of the hill country of Ephraim. From there I came and went to Bethlehem in Judah, and now I am going to the house of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant LORD}, but there is no one to receive me into his house.” |
| 18. Dynamic Translation He answered, “We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the far edge of the hill country of Ephraim, from where I come. I have already been to Bethlehem in Judah, and now I am on my way to the house of the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Host}. But no one will take me in.” |
