Judges 2:12:1וַיַּעַזְב֞וּvayaazevuand they abandoned

12. Formal Translation
And they forsook the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Redeemer}, the God of their fathers who delivered them from the land of Egypt. They went after other gods chosen from the gods of the peoples around them, bowed down to them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
12. Dynamic Translation
They abandoned the LORD {Yahweh, Steadfast Guardian}, the God their ancestors who had rescued them from Egypt. They pursued other gods drawn from the gods of the surrounding peoples, worshiped them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
