וַיָּבֹאוּ֩{va-yo-VU###vah-yoh-VOO###and they came} מִנֶּ֨גֶד{mi-NE-ged###mih-NEH-gehd###from opposite} לַגִּבְעָ֜ה{la-giv-A###lah-giv-AA###to Gibeah} עֲשֶׂרֶת֩{a-se-RET###ah-seh-RET###ten of} אֲלָפִ֨ים{a-la-FIM###ah-laa-FEEM###thousands} אִ֤ישׁ{ISH###EESH###man} בָּחוּר֙{ba-KHUR###baa-KHOOR###chosen} מִכָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל{mi-kol-yis-ra-EL###mih-kohl-yihs-raa-EEL###from all Israel} וְהַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה{ve-ha-mil-kha-MA###veh-hah-mihl-khah-MAA###and the battle} כָּבֵ֑דָה{ka-ve-DA###kaa-veh-DAA###was heavy} וְהֵם֙{ve-HEM###veh-HEEM###but they} לֹ֣א{LO###LOH###not} יָדְע֔וּ{ya-de-U###yaa-deh-OO###they knew} כִּֽי־נֹגַ֥עַת{ki-no-GA-at###kee-noh-GAH-aht###that was touching} עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם{a-le-HEM###ah-leh-HEHMe###upon them} הָרָעָֽה׃פ{ha-ra-A###haa-raa-AA###the evil}
