8. Formal Translation
So the anger of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} burned against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of Cushan-Rishathaim, king of Aram-Naharayim. And the sons of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaim for eight years.
8. Dynamic Translation
The LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Discipliner} was angry with Israel, so He sold them into the hands of Cushan-Rishathaim, king of Aram-Naharayim. The Israelites were subject to Cushan-Rishathaim for eight years.
