Judges 6:39:1וַיֹּ֤אמֶרvayomerand he said
Judges 6:39:2גִּדְעוֹן֙gidonGideon Judges 6:39:3אֶל־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔יםelhaelohimto God Judges 6:39:4אַל־יִ֤חַרalyikharlet not burn Judges 6:39:5אַפְּךָ֙apkhayour anger Judges 6:39:6בִּ֔יbiagainst me or in me Judges 6:39:7וַאֲדַבְּרָ֖הvaadabberaand let me speak Judges 6:39:8אַ֣ךְakhonly Judges 6:39:9הַפָּ֑עַםhapaamthe time Judges 6:39:10אֲנַסֶּ֤הanasselet me test Judges 6:39:11נָּא־רַק־הַפַּ֙עַם֙narakhapaamplease, only the time Judges 6:39:12בַּגִּזָּ֔הbagizzawith the fleece Judges 6:39:13יְהִי־נָ֨אyehinalet it be, please Judges 6:39:14חֹ֤רֶבkhorevdryness Judges 6:39:15אֶל־הַגִּזָּה֙elhagizzato the fleece Judges 6:39:16לְבַדָּ֔הּlevaddaby itself Judges 6:39:17וְעַל־כָּל־הָאָ֖רֶץvealkolhaaretsand on all the land Judges 6:39:18יִֽהְיֶה־טָּֽל׃yiheyetallet there be dew
39. Formal Translation
And Gideon said to God {Elohim, Divine Responder}, “Do not let Your anger flare up against me, and let me speak just this once. Let me test, I pray, just this once with the fleece; let it be dry by itself, but let there be dew on all the ground.”
39. Dynamic Translation
Then Gideon said to God {Elohim, Miracle Giver}, “Please do not be angry with me; let me ask just one more time. Allow me to test, just this once more, with the fleece; let the fleece be dry by itself, and let there be dew over all the land.”
