27. Formal Translation
And Gideon made it into an ephod and placed it in his city, in Ophrah. And all Israel prostituted themselves after it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and to his house.
27. Dynamic Translation
Gideon fashioned the gold into an efod and placed it in his hometown, Ophrah. All Israel worshiped it there idolatrously, and it became a snare for Gideon and his household.
