3. Formal Translation In the heat of His anger He {Adonai, Righteous Judge} cut off every horn of Israel; He drew back His right hand from before the enemy, and in Jacob He blazed like a consuming flame that devoured all around. |
3. Dynamic Translation The Lord {Adonai, Avenging Ruler} shattered every horn of Israel in His fierce anger. He withdrew His right hand when the enemy advanced, and in Jacob He burned like a raging fire that consumed everything around. |
