4. Formal Translation He aimed His bow as an enemy; His right hand stood ready like an adversary. In the tent of Zion’s daughter He killed all that were delights to the eye; He spilled out His wrath like fire. |
4. Dynamic Translation He took up His bow the way an enemy would, and set His right hand like a foe. In Zion’s shelter He struck down everything lovely to behold, pouring out His fury like a blazing fire. |
