Formal Translation In that hour He {Iesous, Rejoicing Son} rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit {pneumati hagiō, Source Of Joy} and said, “I give thanks to You, Father {pater, Sovereign Revealer}, Lord {Kyrios, Ruler Of Creation} of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for thus it was Your good pleasure before You.” |

Dynamic Translation Right at that time He {Iesous, Obedient Son} was overflowing with joy in the Holy Spirit {pneumati hagiō, Giver Of Joy} and said, “Thank You, Father {pater, Gracious Revealer}, Lord {Kyrios, Sovereign Creator} of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the wise and intelligent, and for revealing them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was what You were pleased to do before You.” |
