30. Formal Translation But Jesus {Iesous, Parable Teacher} answered and said, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers who stripped him and inflicted wounds, then went away, leaving him half-dead.” |
30. Dynamic Translation Jesus {Iesous, Master Storyteller} replied, “A man was traveling down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he was attacked by bandits who stripped him completely and beat him, then went off, leaving him barely alive.” |
