45. Formal Translation
But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master {Kyrios, Returning Judge} is delaying His coming,’ and begins to strike the male servants and the female servants, and to eat and to drink and to become drunk.
45. Dynamic Translation
But suppose that servant thinks to himself, ‘My master {Kyrios, Coming Lord} is taking a long time to come,’ and then starts beating the male and female servants, eating and drinking, and getting drunk.
