4. Formal Translation How he entered into the house of God {Theos, Indwelling Presence} and took the loaves of the presentation, he ate them and also gave to those with him, which it is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone. |
4. Dynamic Translation As he went into the house of God {Theos, Temple Sovereign} and took the consecrated loaves, he ate them and shared them with those who were with him, even though the law permits only priests to eat them. |
