45. Formal Translation But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them so that they might not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him {Iesous, Patient Teacher} about this saying. |
45. Dynamic Translation But the disciples could not grasp what this meant, for its meaning was hidden from them so that they would not recognize it, and they were afraid to question Him {Iesous, Wise Guide}. |
