14. Formal Translation Cursed is the deceiver who has a male in his flock and who vows and sacrifices a blemished offering to the Lord {Adonai, Divine Judge}; for I am a great King, says the LORD {Yahweh, Fearsome Sovereign} of hosts, and My name is dreadful among the nations. |
14. Dynamic Translation Let the cheater be under a curse—the one who owns a male in his flock, makes a vow to sacrifice it, yet offers a flawed animal as a sacrifice to the Lord {Adonai, Supreme Ruler}. For I am a mighty King, says the LORD {Yahweh, Omnipotent Commander} of hosts, and My name will be feared among the nations. |
