Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Malachi 2:15:1 ⧉וְלֹא־אֶחָ֣דveloekhadand not one Malachi 2:15:2 ⧉עָשָׂ֗הasahe made or did Malachi 2:15:3 ⧉וּשְׁאָ֥רushearand a remnant of Malachi 2:15:4 ⧉ר֙וּחַ֙ruakhspirit or breath Malachi 2:15:5 ⧉ל֔וֹloto him Malachi 2:15:6 ⧉וּמָה֙umaand what Malachi 2:15:7 ⧉הָֽאֶחָ֔דhaekhadthe one Malachi 2:15:8 ⧉מְבַקֵּ֖שׁmevakkeshseeks Malachi 2:15:9 ⧉זֶ֣רַעzeraseed or offspring Malachi 2:15:10 ⧉אֱלֹהִ֑יםelohimGod Malachi 2:15:11 ⧉וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙venishmaretemand you shall be guarded or keep watch Malachi 2:15:12 ⧉בְּר֣וּחֲכֶ֔םberukhakhemin your spirit Malachi 2:15:13 ⧉וּבְאֵ֥שֶׁתuveeshetand with the wife of Malachi 2:15:14 ⧉נְעוּרֶ֖יךָneurekhayour youth Malachi 2:15:15 ⧉אַל־יִבְגֹּֽד׃alyivgoddo not act faithlessly or deal treacherously |
15. Formal Translation And did He not make one, while a remnant of the spirit was His? And what does the one seek? Offspring of God {Elohim, Faithful Originator}. Therefore guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of your youth. |
15. Dynamic Translation Did not God {Elohim, Relationship Founder} make them one, even though He still had a portion of the spirit? And what was the one seeking? Godly children. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not betray the wife of your youth. |
