17. Formal Translation You have wearied the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} with your words. Yet you ask, “How have we wearied Him?” You claim, “All who commit wrongdoing are counted good in the sight of the LORD, and He delights in them,” or you demand, “Where is the God of justice?” |
17. Dynamic Translation You have exhausted the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter} by your speech. Yet you ask, “How did we exhaust Him?” You assert, “Whoever does evil is judged good by the LORD, and He takes pleasure in them,” or you taunt, “Where is the God of justice?” |
