Trusting Jesus Instead of Demanding Signs

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown fascinated with signs and slow to trust your word. Make us humble, repentant, and steady in faith. Let us seek Jesus himself more than spectacle, and let our lives point others to him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew a Teachable Church

Father, when I want more evidence before I obey, quiet my heart. Teach me to trust your Son, receive correction without defensiveness, and follow the light I already have, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these to God: thanks for Jesus' truthful warning, gratitude that he does not flatter our demands, and praise that his correction is mercy meant to lead us back to trust.

Pray for someone you know who is stuck asking for proof: that God would soften their heart, give them honest hunger for truth, and lead them to Jesus' own words and works.
