Treat people as persons and resist cruelty

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that my sin has hardened me, and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from every cruel or careless way I have lived. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, wash me clean, and make me new. Amen.

Receive Jesus, the Lord of Mercy

Lord, awaken your Church where we have become numb to suffering. Give us soft hearts, brave voices, and clean hands so we refuse cruelty and honor every person made in your image. Stir us to compassion that acts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Protect Life

Father, draw near to anyone wounded by violence, abuse, humiliation, or loss. Restore dignity to the shamed, steady the grieving, and surround them with safe and wise people, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort Those Hurt by Violence

Pray about any delight in shocking details, any silence that lets harm continue, and any habit of treating painful stories as entertainment. Ask God for repentance, a tender conscience, and courage to make wrong things right.

Turn Us from Callousness

Begin by thanking God for the people who have protected dignity in your life, then ask him to make you one who honors life, protects the vulnerable, and refuses to pass cruelty along.

Thank God for Those Who Guard Dignity

Pray for children, young women, and every vulnerable person who can be used, silenced, or mistreated. Ask God to place protective people around them, expose abuse, and bring justice where harm has been done.
