He throws himself down before the other person

Humbly ask for time, tell the truth, and begin making restitution

Act as if nothing serious happened and hope the issue fades away

Promise a big fix later, but do not start changing anything now

Demand immediate release from the consequences without taking responsibility

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you with a debt of sin I cannot repay. I admit that I have fallen short and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. Be my Lord, make me new, and lead my life. Amen.

Mercy for a Debtor

Lord, revive your Church with the humility of this servant. Where we have grown proud, defensive, or slow to repent, bring us low before you. Teach us to ask for mercy, to give patient grace, and to make things right with one another. Wake us up to live honestly before you and kindly toward others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Our Humility

Pray by naming one place where you need patience, asking God to keep you humble, and telling him the first honest step you will take to make things right.

Pray for Patient Mercy

Father, I confess the places where I have wanted mercy without honesty. I have not always faced my wrong or followed through on what I said I would do.
