Stay silent if your readiness is questioned

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have tried to come in my own way. I cannot make myself ready before God. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Clothe me with your grace, make me new, and I confess you as Lord of my life. Amen.

Come to Jesus Without Pretending

Lord, revive your Church. Where we have looked acceptable on the outside but remained unready within, expose us in mercy and make us humble. Put truth on our lips, repentance in our hearts, and obedience in our lives, so we are ready for your invitation and not speechless before you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Clothe Your Church in Readiness

Father, if I have been pretending, give me the courage to tell the truth. Forgive me for relying on outward appearance, and turn my heart toward real readiness before you. Help me receive your correction with humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray for someone who seems fine on the outside but is far from God inside. Ask the Lord for honesty, humility, and a gentle conversation that helps them take him seriously and come ready.

Lord, thank you that your word tells the truth and does not flatter me. Thank you for exposing what is lacking so it can be made right. Teach me to welcome your correction with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
