The servant who had been given the larger amount

He reminds the master that he had been given a smaller amount

Use what was entrusted to you so it can grow for the one who gave it

Keep what was entrusted to you untouched so you cannot be blamed

Spend it mainly on yourself and explain later if needed

Do nothing with it, but speak as if you had been careful

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and lived for myself. I need your mercy and your saving grace. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord. Receive me and lead my life. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church so we do not hide what you have given us. Wake us from fear, laziness, and empty excuses. Make us faithful with the gifts, time, and opportunities you have entrusted to us, and let our lives bring a good report to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Faithful Again

Give thanks for the time, abilities, opportunities, and responsibilities God has placed in your hands. Thank him that nothing entrusted to you is too small to matter, and ask for eyes to see his gifts as grace.

Thank You for What You Entrust

Name one area God has entrusted to you, then ask for wisdom to use it well, courage to act instead of hiding, and honesty to bring back a good report. Pray specifically about one task, one relationship, or one resource.

Pray for a Faithful Return

Father, bless people who feel small, overlooked, or unsure of what they have. Give them courage to use what they have received well, and let their work bear fruit that honors you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Others to Be Faithful

Lord, forgive me for the times I have buried your gifts in fear, comfort, or delay. Teach me to be faithful with what you have placed in my care, and help me bring back a good report to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
