2. Formal Translation But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, small as you are to be among the clans of Judah, from you, for Me {Yahweh, Appointing King}, he will come out to be ruler in Israel, and his goings-out are from the ancient past, from days of eternity. |
2. Dynamic Translation Bethlehem Ephrathah, you may seem insignificant among Judah’s families, yet from you someone will come for Me {Yahweh, Faithful Sender} to lead Israel; his beginnings reach back to long ago, to ancient days. |
