Grief upon me! I have become like the gatherers who come late to the summer fruit, like the gleanings left after the vintage—there is no cluster to eat; my soul yearns for the first-ripe fig.

I am devastated! It is like when the harvesters finish gathering summer fruit, and only the leftovers from the grape harvest remain—there is no cluster to eat. My spirit longs for the first-ripe fig.
