Micah 7:3:1עַל־הָרַ֤עalharaupon the evil
Micah 7:3:2כַּפַּ֙יִם֙kappayimhands Micah 7:3:3לְהֵיטִ֔יבlehetivto do good or to do well Micah 7:3:4הַשַּׂ֣רhassarthe prince or the official Micah 7:3:5שֹׁאֵ֔לshoelasks Micah 7:3:6וְהַשֹּׁפֵ֖טvehashshofetand the judge Micah 7:3:7בַּשִׁלּ֑וּםbashillumfor the bribe or for the payment Micah 7:3:8וְהַגָּד֗וֹלvehaggadoland the great man Micah 7:3:9דֹּבֵ֨רdoverspeaks or utters Micah 7:3:10הַוַּ֥תhavvatruin or calamity or iniquity Micah 7:3:11נַפְשׁ֛וֹnafshohis soul or his desire Micah 7:3:12ה֖וּאhuhe Micah 7:3:13וַֽיְעַבְּתֽוּהָ׃vayeavbetuhaand they twist it or and they weave it
3. Formal Translation
With both hands they are eager to do evil; the prince makes demands, the judge requires a bribe, and the great man speaks the desire of his soul—and together they weave it into a scheme.
3. Dynamic Translation
They apply both hands to carry out wrongdoing; the ruler solicits bribes, the judge accepts payoffs, and the powerful man voices whatever his heart desires, and together they plot it all out.
