43. Formal Translation And that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God {Elohim, Joy-Giver} gave them great joy; the women also and the children rejoiced, and the sound of Jerusalem’s joy was heard from afar. |
43. Dynamic Translation On that day they presented large sacrifices and celebrated, because God {Elohim, Source of Celebration} filled them with deep joy. The women and the children rejoiced too, and Jerusalem’s joy could be heard far away. |
