6. Formal Translation These are the people of the province who came up as returnees from captivity, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had exiled. They returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, each man to his own city. |
6. Dynamic Translation These are the residents of the province who came up from exile, those whom King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon carried away into captivity. They returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, each person to their hometown. |
