Formal Translation And You {Yahweh, Covenant Initiator} found his heart faithful before You, and You made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite to his seed. And You kept Your word because You are righteous. |
8. Dynamic Translation You {Yahweh, Promise Keeper} saw that his heart was faithful to You and made a binding promise with him to give his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. You kept Your word, for You are righteous. |
