| 3. Formal Translation Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the midst of the congregation—the ones assembling against the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge} in the company of Korah; rather, he died for his own sin and he had no sons. |
| 3. Dynamic Translation Our father passed away in the wilderness. He was not among those who banded together against the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter} with Korah. Instead, he died because of his own wrongdoing and he left behind no sons. |
