| 33. Formal Translation And you shall not pollute the land where you dwell, for blood defiles the land; and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that has been shed in it except by the blood of the one who shed it. |
| 33. Dynamic Translation Do not corrupt the land where you live, because bloodshed defiles it. The land cannot be cleansed of the blood that has been shed there except by the blood of the shedder. |
