7. Formal Translation
Whoever corrects a scoffer acquires disgrace for himself, and whoever reproves the wicked gets a stain.
7. Dynamic Translation
Correcting a mocker only invites disgrace, and rebuking the wicked brings a blemish on the one who does it.
