Exegesis

The first hoti-clause, hoti hoi emporoi sou esan hoi megistanes tēs gēs {ὅτι οἱ ἔμποροί σου ἦσαν οἱ μεγιστᾶνες τῆς γῆς | hóti hoi émporoi sou êsan hoi megistânes tês gēs}, presents a nominal sentence where the subject “your merchants” is equated with “the great ones of the earth,” highlighting their exalted status within the global order.

The second hoti-clause, hoti en te pharmakeia sou eplanethesan panta ta ethne {ὅτι ἐν τῇ φαρμακείᾳ σου ἐπλανήθησαν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη | hóti en tê pharmakeía sou eplanḗthēsan pánta ta éthnē}, uses a prepositional phrase with en to mark means or instrument (“by your sorcery”), while the passive verb eplanethesan ‘were led astray’ portrays the nations as victims of wide-ranging deception. The universal scope is underscored by panta ta ethne ‘all the nations’.
