The second hoti-clause, hoti en te pharmakeia sou eplanethesan panta ta ethne {ὅτι ἐν τῇ φαρμακείᾳ σου ἐπλανήθησαν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη | hóti en tê pharmakeía sou eplanḗthēsan pánta ta éthnē}, uses a prepositional phrase with en to mark means or instrument (“by your sorcery”), while the passive verb eplanethesan ‘were led astray’ portrays the nations as victims of wide-ranging deception.
