The protasis introduced by ean with the aorist middle subjunctive genetai antri heterō {ἐάν γένηται ἀνδρί ἑτέρῳ | e-an gé-nē-tai an-drí he-té-rō} ‘if she becomes to another man’ expresses the marital transition.
