13. Formal Translation Would you wait for them until they grow up? Would you hold back from marrying for their sakes? No, my daughters; for it is exceedingly bitter to me more than to you, because the hand of the LORD {Yahweh, Sovereign Judge} has gone out against me. |
13. Dynamic Translation Would you keep waiting until they grow up? Would you refuse marriage for their sakes? No, my daughters. It is far more bitter for me than for you, because the hand of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter} has turned against me. |
