16. Formal Translation But Ruth said, “Do not press me to abandon you or to withdraw from following you, for wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God {Elohayikh/Elohay, Covenant Guardian} will be my God.” |
16. Dynamic Translation Ruth replied, “Please do not keep urging me to abandon you or to turn away from following you. Wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you remain, I will remain. Your people will be my people, and your God {Elohayikh/Elohay, Chosen Protector} will be my God.” |
