21. Formal Translation I went away full, but the LORD {Yahweh, Witness Against Me} has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the LORD has testified against me and the Almighty {Shaddai, All-Powerful Ruler} has brought disaster upon me? |
21. Dynamic Translation I left with plenty, but the LORD {Yahweh, Restoring Judge} has returned me empty. Why do you call me Naomi? The LORD has spoken against me, and the Almighty {Shaddai, Omnipotent Sovereign} has brought trouble upon me. |
