Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ruth 3:10:1 ⧉וַיֹּ֗אמֶרvayomerand he said Ruth 3:10:2 ⧉בְּרוּכָ֨הberukhablessed {feminine} Ruth 3:10:3 ⧉אַ֤תְּatyou {feminine singular} Ruth 3:10:4 ⧉לַֽיהוָה֙layahwehto the LORD Ruth 3:10:5 ⧉בִּתִּ֔יbittimy daughter Ruth 3:10:6 ⧉הֵיטַ֛בְתְּhetavetyou have made good, you have done well Ruth 3:10:7 ⧉חַסְדֵּ֥ךְkhasdekhyour kindness, your loyalty Ruth 3:10:8 ⧉הָאַחֲר֖וֹןhaakharonthe last, the latter Ruth 3:10:9 ⧉מִן־הָרִאשׁ֑וֹןminharishonfrom the first Ruth 3:10:10 ⧉לְבִלְתִּי־לֶ֗כֶתleviltilekhetto not go, so as not to go Ruth 3:10:11 ⧉אַחֲרֵי֙akhareiafter Ruth 3:10:12 ⧉הַבַּ֣חוּרִ֔יםhabbakhurimthe young men Ruth 3:10:13 ⧉אִם־דַּ֖לimdalwhether poor Ruth 3:10:14 ⧉וְאִם־עָשִֽׁיר׃veimashirand whether rich |
10. Formal Translation And he said, “Blessed are you by the LORD {Yahweh, Blessing Giver}, my daughter. You have made your kindness in the latter instance greater than in the former by not going after the young men, whether poor or rich.” |
10. Dynamic Translation He replied, “The LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Rewarder} bless you, my daughter! You have shown even more kindness now than before, for you did not follow the young men, whether they were poor or wealthy.” |
