11. Formal Translation He {Yahweh, Sovereign Deliverer} will pass through the sea of distress and strike its waves, and all the depths of the river will dry up, and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart. |
11. Dynamic Translation He {Yahweh, Triumphant Victor} will cross the sea of trouble, striking down its waves, and all the deepest parts of the river will dry up, and the arrogance of Assyria will be humbled, and Egypt’s power will vanish. |
