Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Zechariah 5:4:1 ⧉הוֹצֵאתִ֗יהָhotsetihaI have sent it out Zechariah 5:4:2 ⧉נְאֻם֙neumutterance of Zechariah 5:4:3 ⧉יְהוָ֣הyahwehthe LORD Zechariah 5:4:4 ⧉צְבָא֔וֹתtsevaotof hosts Zechariah 5:4:5 ⧉וּבָ֙אָה֙uvaaand it shall enter Zechariah 5:4:6 ⧉אֶל־בֵּ֣יתelbetinto the house of Zechariah 5:4:7 ⧉הַגַּנָּ֔בhagannavthe thief Zechariah 5:4:8 ⧉וְאֶל־בֵּ֛יתveelbetand into the house of Zechariah 5:4:9 ⧉הַנִּשְׁבָּ֥עhanishbathe one who swears Zechariah 5:4:10 ⧉בִּשְׁמִ֖יbishmiby my name Zechariah 5:4:11 ⧉לַשָּׁ֑קֶרlashakerfor falsehood Zechariah 5:4:12 ⧉וְלָ֙נֶה֙velaneand it shall lodge Zechariah 5:4:13 ⧉בְּת֣וֹךְbetokhin the midst of Zechariah 5:4:14 ⧉בֵּית֔וֹbetohis house Zechariah 5:4:15 ⧉וְכִלַּ֖תּוּvekhillatuand it shall consume it Zechariah 5:4:16 ⧉וְאֶת־עֵצָ֥יוveetetsaivand its timber Zechariah 5:4:17 ⧉וְאֶת־אֲבָנָֽיו׃veetavanavand its stones |
4. Formal Translation I will send it out, declares the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Divine Commander}, and it will enter the house of the thief and into the house of him who swears by My name to falsehood, and it will remain in the midst of his house and consume it, both its timbers and its stones. |
4. Dynamic Translation I am sending it out, says the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Lord of Heaven’s Armies}, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by My name, and it will stay there and consume the house completely, both its wood and its stones. |
