Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Zechariah 9:14:1 ⧉וַֽיהוָה֙vayahwehand the LORD Zechariah 9:14:2 ⧉עֲלֵיהֶ֣םaleihemover them Zechariah 9:14:3 ⧉יֵֽרָאֶ֔הyeraehwill appear Zechariah 9:14:4 ⧉וְיָצָ֥אveyatsaand will go out Zechariah 9:14:5 ⧉כַבָּרָ֖קkhabaraklike lightning Zechariah 9:14:6 ⧉חִצּ֑וֹkhitsohis arrow Zechariah 9:14:7 ⧉וַֽאדֹנָ֤יvaadonaiand the Lord Zechariah 9:14:8 ⧉יְהֹוִה֙yehoviGOD Zechariah 9:14:9 ⧉בַּשּׁוֹפָ֣רbashofarwith the trumpet Zechariah 9:14:10 ⧉יִתְקָ֔עyitkawill blow Zechariah 9:14:11 ⧉וְהָלַ֖ךְvehalakhand will go Zechariah 9:14:12 ⧉בְּסַעֲר֥וֹתbesaarotin the storm-winds Zechariah 9:14:13 ⧉תֵּימָֽן׃teimanof the south |
14. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Warrior} will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning; the Lord {Adonai, Sovereign Commander} will blow the trumpet, and will march in the whirlwinds of the south. |
14. Dynamic Translation Then the LORD {Yahweh, Victorious Defender} will show Himself above them, and His arrow will flash out like lightning; the Lord {Adonai, Triumphant King} will sound the trumpet, and He will move forward with the storms from the south. |
