וַיִּשְׁאַ֨ל{va-yish-AL###vah-yihsh-AL###and he asked} דָּוִ֤יד{da-VID###daa-VEED###David} בֵּאלֹהִים֙{be-lo-HIM###beh-loh-HEEM###of God} לֵאמֹ֔ר{le-MOR###leh-MOHR###to say} הַאֶֽעֱלֶה֙{ha-e-e-LE###hah-eh-eh-LEH###shall I go up} עַל־פלשתיים{al-pe-le-sha-YIM###ahl-peh-leh-shah-YEEM###against Philistines} פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים{pe-lish-TIM###peh-lihsh-TEEM###the Philistines} וּנְתַתָּ֖ם{u-ne-ta-TAM###oo-neh-tah-TAM###and will you give them} בְּיָדִ֑י{be-ya-DI###beh-yaa-DEE###into my hand} וַיֹּ֨אמֶר{va-yo-MER###vah-yoh-MEHR###and he said} ל֤וֹ{LO###LOH###to him} יְהוָה֙{Ye-ho-VAH###Yeh-ho-VAH###the LORD} עֲלֵ֔ה{a-LE###ah-LEH###go up} וּנְתַתִּ֖ים{u-ne-ta-TIM###oo-neh-tah-TEEM###and I will give them} בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃{be-ya-DE-kha###beh-yaa-DEH-khah###into your hand}
