Another vav-consecutive with vayishlach {וַיִּשְׁלַח | wayyišlāḥ} ‘and he sent’ introduces malakhim {מַלְאָכִים | malʾāḵîm} ‘messengers’, whose purpose is marked by the infinitive lenachamo {לְנַחֲמוֹ | lənaḥămṓ} ‘to comfort’.
