The second vav-consecutive wayyišlaḥ {וַיִּשְׁלַח | wayyišlaḥ} ‘and he sent’ begins a coordinated clause with ḥānûn {חָנוּן | ḥānûn} as agent, resumed by u-benê-ʿammôn {וּבְנֵי־עַמּוֹן | u-benê-ʿammôn}.
