10. Formal Translation And Jabez called to the God of Israel {Elohei Yisrael, Covenant Protector}, saying, “If you will surely bless me and enlarge my border and let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I might not experience pain.” And God granted that which he requested. |
10. Dynamic Translation Jabez prayed to the God of Israel {Elohei Yisrael, National Helper}, saying, “Oh, that you would truly bless me and expand my land and let your hand be with me and keep me from evil so that I will not suffer pain.” So God gave him what he asked. |
